This was a really good take. I listen to Tim Ferris here and there and have benefited from his insights, but I do agree that there is a huge issue in the self-help space at large of reducing poverty to a personal problem.

Obviously, we are all accountable for our own behavior and each have potential to overcome major odds by sheer force of will, but it shouldn't have to be that way. Understanding the broader complicity we have in perpetuating systems of inequity is necessary if we ever want to build a world where you don't need the discipline of a mogul in order to live a decently comfortable life.
