This was a beautiful analogy of the experience of deconstruction. It's resonating a lot with me because The Prince of Egypt is still one of my favorite movies too, despite the fact that I no longer identify as Christian. To me, it is even more beautiful and powerful a story when seen through my new lens as an exvangelical.
