I really feel for men who are doing their best to honorably navigate today’s dating scene. When I read articles like this, all I can think is “damned if you do, damned if you don’t.”

I love Ossiana’s content and respect her point of view. However, dating is a numbers game. The amount of money and effort a guy would need to invest into creating memorable first dates with every woman he asks out in search of his match is simply unreasonable.

Coffee is a crowd pleaser (and damn near as expensive as a meal nowadays). A cute coffee shop sets a pleasant, low-commitment vibe for getting to know someone well enough to request a second (more thoughtful) date. A walk afterwards can be a cherry on top of things are going well.

Men have enough personal issues on their plates to address—I really don’t think coffee dates are one of them.
