Excellent article! I bookmarked it because there are a lot of enlightening points in your breakdown of the different political ideologies that I'll want to come back and reference/explore further.

I think one thing worth considering deeper that you indirectly alluded to is the effect of segregated thought silos on politics, particularly on the right. I have met so many former right and far-right people whose views were quickly reoriented to the left after having new experiences that exposed them to diverse perspectives of what's really going on in the world. Getting a job, or a significant other, or traveling abroad is sometimes all it takes for some to swivel from one polar political extreme to another. In addition to the strategy you suggest, I think it's worth exploring ways to engage with alt-righters whos affiliation may be more reflective of an emotional desire for tight-knit community than deeply-held fascist political values.
